Shot and reverse shot

Shot and reverse shot is a film technique where a character is shown looking at another character,  often when they are off screen. The second character is then shown looking at the other character, the viewer assumes that they are looking at each other. The video below will show shot and reverse shot, the camera shot will show that in dialog the character speaking may often be filmed and in turn they will speak depending on who is speaking.
